SH Lime Lights, Liberty/Peppermint Patti

Here is Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in Lime Lights, just two coats, because I liked just that little bit of sheer despite the state of my nails. Really beautiful shade, catches the light. ^^.

Also, here is a side by side for Lucy, who was asking if Knock Out Liberty was a dupe for MAC Peppermint Patti, despite the frosted bottle of Liberty, the color is true. Peppermint Patti is darker, almost a bit yellower in tone green than Liberty.

Also, happy Mother's Day to the mums reading. ^^

KO Liberty! DS(i) fun

KO Liberty is here, and is just lush! Really does look like that green over copper patina.

Sorry for the hasty semi clean up, just wanted to post how gorgeous this was. Less haste, more speed. XD

This is three coats, and is extremely quick to dry. Keep having to peek at this mani, really love the combination of color and flatness.

They have one called Ox out now, and it's my dream been hoping for an Ox blood colored polish and for a flat one at that. How can I resist. Oh what to do.

My nephews popped over last night with their DSis, they traded in their DSes apparently you get a good deal of cash on trade in for a DSi. Anyways, we were messing in Pictochat chatting and they can send and write/draw to mine in a rainbow which is so cute. Wonder if they can in individual colors as well. Looks like the DSi is worth upgrading to, but am going to wait to see if they release another wave of colors, as it is just blue and black right now...don't want to surrender my pink/Boba Fett number just yet.

Revlon Mon Cherry Scented Polish

Finally got around to trying Revlon's Mon Cherry, faint cherry smell here. Not entirely sure that I'm keen on the shade, think it is more of a pedi one for me. This is just missing some pop, it's nice though. Oh, sorry for another half moon mani, but when my nails are long it is all I can do to not rock a half moon mani. lol. Might retake the picture again tonight, it is all wonky.

Blech, raining up a storm today.

My bottle of KO Liberty is on it's way, so says the email. Can not wait for this one!

Because of that purchase have made it a no buy this month, unless I find those new Sally Hansen Insta Dry new shades! Must resist. Must resist.

For fun thought I'd put a video in this post, one of my fav. HorrorPops songs, 'Where you can't follow' ^^ Love that Patricia Day, she's amazing.

Knock Out Cosmetics Wahey

Was perusing the fan page of Knock Out Cosmetics well more precisely their Facebook page and ahoy new polishes! There's a green called Liberty which looks aptly like a green patina. Green! /dance +1.

Also coming is a deep purple called Ox (hope it's Ox bloody, that'd be pr0n). As well as shades called Concrete, Pool, Nude and Chocolate which from the small picture also look perfectly named. My greedy mitts want them all! All I tell you. On the page it says that Concrete and Pool will be released mid-May, Nude and Chocolate mid fall.

The page says that Liberty shall be released next week, and the week following Ox shall.

Ridiculously excited by these new shades, do go look at the pics toute de suite!

Liberty, though wow can't wait till my digits are rocking it!

Here's a picture of a full mani using KO's Karen. ^^

Hope everyone has a great day today!

DM Stream! Karen/Flatte

Here's a maybe Harley Quinn mani, might be pushing it but hey. Was in haste to try KO's Karen, which I'm wearing here with KO Flatte Black. Karen is such a cherry tomato, it was entirely worth the asking price in my opinion, yes I'm sure with a regular flat top coat can be duped easily, but really I'm just loving the formula and shade. The speed of dry time is great, this would be perfect for an emergency mani too! Will also be doing soon a side by side of Flatte Black again'st ManGlaze's The Death Tar for comparison.

Oh hotness! You can listen to a stream here of the entire new Depeche Mode album Sounds of the Universe!

I hope there are eggs to decorate today lol, mind you the only eggs I'm fond of are creme eggs. ;)

Have a whole bunch I plan on adding so if I've spare time today will post a bunch of various polish related pictures, for sure scanning a lot of my older UD promo material. Have a happy holiday everyone!

Wahey Karen!

My bottle of Karen and Flatte Top came a few mins ago, so here's a quick and dirty pic. Tonight will hope to take better pictures of and a mani...Great timing because I trimmed and shaped my nails yesterday after a breaking a nail opening up a plastic case. Grr! Oh well. ^^

Looks like if a cherry tomato didn't have a shine. Am loving it!

Creative Turquoise Tint,Lauder Midnight

Wanted to give sheer another go, regardless of my nails having hot staining action from the glut of darker shades I normally wear. This is two coats of Creative's Turquoise Tint which is still sheer, a third would probably rock full coverage. The name is misleading however, I don't see turquoise at all it is a pastel green shimmer. Really gorgeous IMHO but quite far from turquoise. It does look it in bottle though, certainly worth the purchase. ^^

Got my email notice that my bottle of Karen from Knock Out Cosmetics is on the way. Squee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excited +1!

Seche Vite Restore'd an ancient bottle of Estee Lauder Perfect Finish Nail Lacquer in Midnight within a inch of it's life (with aide of clear polish). This came out around the same time that the original release of Chanel's Vamp if I recall correctly. It's a blackened shimmering purple and it was impossible to get a good shot of it. This was one of my sister's fav. polishes so hoping to surprise her with it. Worked well tried it on, but didn't think to take a shot.

KO Calamine

I did say I was going to clean up from here on out, but this was prior to a hear on out XD Anyways, on to it then, here is Calamine from Knock Out Cosmetics. Completely gorgeous, palest of pale matte pink. I love it, my fingernails look like mini eggs. Sort of. Of course, a picture of the gorgeous bottle. Also aside from clean up, I am going to find a neutral central location to take bottle pictures so everything can be seen properly. Can't wait again for my bottle of Karen to arrive!

Was unable to resist getting Color Club Revvvolution today, I figured since I am able to hold off on UDPP in Sin, I can get a dead cheap polish...or a couple. Also looking forwards for it to arrive, from all the swatches I've seen it's like a holo porn version of UD's old Oilslick, one of my fav. polishes of all times.

KO Hotness! Mascara ramble...

Oh hotness, Knock Out Cosmetics has a new shade called Karen and it is a foxy foxy foxy looking red. Check out the picture, it makes those gorgeous bottles pop even more! There's also a treatment called Flatte Top which is a sealant and top coat which will bring you back to matte after a few days of wear. I've a Tony and Tina matte top coat which I love. The thing is ancient but still does the trick.

Karen though, it just looks amazing in the photos. I totally caved and purchased it. Earlier this month for my birthday my lovely sister gave me Calamine and Flatte Black. I can't say enough about them. The black is just so inky dark, and it is different than ManGlaze's The Death Tar, worth purchasing both IMHO. Will swatch Flatte Black soon! So excited about Karen, if there was an ox blood or navy ever slated...would be floored.

The sun is finally out today, after nearly a week of on and off rain. Now if only it would warm up a touch, but can not complain really after seeing the sun!

Picked up Max Factor's 2K Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper today and am looking forwards to giving that a go, the last couple mascaras I have bought have been let downs. Looking at you Maybelline Lash Stiletto! You in the back as well, Cover Girl Lashblast Luxe!

The store mercifully and unfortunately didn't stock Cadbury Mini Eggs! ^^

Get thee behind me choccy!

Mirrors Up for the Urban Decay/Hard Candy stuffy.

Alright the mirrors are up. The Urban Decay portion of the pages are here and the Hard Candy one is here.
There is more I never posted, so will get around to making a more modern version, with cleaned up pictures of the products be them in what condition they are now and the catalogues/mag scans. Along with being more modern, some of the newer polishes I dig, like Knockout Cosmetics,Black Phoenix etc. ^^ Enjoy!

Nail Polish, Gem Eyelets,Mum

Now I'm nutty foo foo for nail polish. In the late nineties I had a tripod site dedicated to it, hmm wonder if bones of that site are floating around. I love polish, back then I was all about Urban Decay, Hard Candy and well everything from Chanel to Wet and Wild. Have been looking around and see so many amazing nail polish blogs with author's posting amazing swatches, it's fantastic! All these ladies rock bells.

My three very favorites are Scrangie's and Vampy Varnish as well as All Lacquered Up.

Urban Decay, oh how I wish they were still all about the 'Pink makes me Puke' campaign with the apothecary polish bottles and slick colors. Will have to scan in all the old ads and catalogues in and post them. They no longer produce nail polish at all. But oh nail polish wishes, what UD stuff I'd love to see as for these I'm constantly looking for dupes!

1: Frostbite, this was blackened navy and while I've found many a gorgeous dupe from high end to bargain bin just nothing that stood out like that. But admittedly I think I might be remembering it to be better than it was, as I just have nearly empty dried out bottles for comparison.

2: Oilslick, Opi's My Private Jet and For Sephora Never Enough Shoes kinda is like it but more holo (which I enjoy mind) instead of tinier grain glitter.

3: Asphalt, cor this was fantastic it was all about the texture and color that lends it's name. A lovely flat color, not matte completely but a dull shine to go with that texture, it was a bitch to remove but the look was so worth it. Couldn't shift it if you wanted to, lol.

Also I miss Gash polish, loved the lippy and polish went through many of those ^^

Right now I'm really digging Knockout Cosmetics polish. Received these from my sister for my birthday in the pink and black shades. These go on matte and are super flattering. Plus you can also buff them to get a shiny appearance. Reminds me of the old Tony and Tina matte/satin top coat. But dag, it is my current favorite the black is just perfect a nice proper matte black not leaning towards grey.

Hmm...I see IS is making not knock-offs persae, but gem eyelets of their own. Check them out Here. The water opal gem looks really pretty, but I love me some Anatometal Blings and of course BAF. So I'm of mixed feelings about them because I have quite a few of the Anatometal ones and everyone there is super friendly so there's loyalty there. Be interested to see people post in-ear pics. But I can talk up Anatometal's blings for days-the shine on these are mirror like in both the titanium (anodized shades too) and stainless. Haven't worn anything but blings for four years. Also, I don't like the fact that they are so underpriced in titanium, it seems wrong somehow but I guess business is business. They both use Signity Gems, but to me even the pictures show how much foxier Anatometal's Gemmed Eyelets are. Again though that Water Opal pair by IS is giving me the side eye...must resist!

Today is my mum's birthday, I miss her so very much. Sometimes I selfishly wish she was still here...But I know how unfair that is because of the amount of pain and indignities she had to suffer with her illness. It seems like she's been gone both forever and like she just passed. Never go a day without thinking about how much I love her, but I am comforted to know she's not in pain.
